Incoming/Outgoing Server Setup

  1. Launch 'Mulberry', and select 'Preferences' from the 'File' menu.

  2. Click on the 'Accounts' field in the ‘Preferences' window and select ‘New…' from the pull-down list.

  3. You will be presented with the following window. In the 'Account name:' field, type in something by which you can easily identify your account, like 'OKmail Account'. ‘Account Type:' will default to ‘IMAP Mailbox'. Keep this selection as it is. Click on the ‘OK' button.

  4. You will be presented with the following ‘Simple' view window. For the 'Real Name:' field, enter your full name. For the 'Email Address:' field in the yellow box, enter your email address at OKmail. For the 'User ID:' field in the second yellow box, enter again your OKmail email address. For the 'Mail Server:' field in the green box, enter 'mail.messagingengine.com' and choose the 'Server Type:' as 'IMAP'. For the 'SMTP Server:' field in the red box, enter 'mail.messagingengine.com'. To enable ‘SSLv3' secure authentication click on the ‘Advanced' radio button.

Note: Guest users do not have access to the 'mail.messagingengine.com' SMTP server. Member, Full and Enhanced users do have access to the 'mail.messagingengine.com' SMTP server, so the following does not apply. Guest users should instead set the 'SMTP Server:' field to your ISP's SMTP server. You should be able to find this information in your ISP's documentation; we don't have the information, so please don't email us asking what it is.

  5. You will be presented with the following window.

  6. Click on the ‘Secure' button. This defaults to ‘No Security'. Select ‘SSLv3’ from the pull-down list.

  7. Click on the ‘Simple' radio button to switch back to the simple preferences view. Fill in the rest of the screen options to your liking.

CAUTION!!Do not change the ‘Hierarchy Separator'! Leave it as a single period.

You have completed setting up Mulberry! Click on the 'OK' button.
